German language classes for women

There are German courses that are only for women. For example, the Mama learns German courses, MiA courses and the women’s integration courses (BAMF).

The Mama learns German courses take place at institutions such as kindergartens or schools. Participants can take part in the course directly on site after bringing their child to childcare. If you are interested, please contact the Paritätisches Bildungswerk, which runs the courses in Bremen.

The MiA (Migrantinnen einfach stark im Alltag) courses are run by women for women. The MiA courses usually take place in a classroom.
There you talk about topics that are important to you. You can improve your German. On some days you go
go outside together, for example, to get to know the city. MiA courses often include group activities, such as sewing, singing and painting. MiA is a course in which women strengthen each other. They give each other courage. They learn and experience many new things.

In the women’s integration course (BAMF), the content focuses on raising and educating children, visiting local authorities and institutions relevant to the target group, and dealing with gender roles in Germany and the respective home countries. As in the general integration course, the aim of the women’s integration course is to acquire German language skills at level B1 according to the “Common European Framework of Reference” (CEFR).

Further information on this topic can be found on the BAMF website.
