Advice café und chaperones for appointments with young refugees

Young refugees can access support and advice on a variety of issues at Fluchtraum Bremen e.V.’s Advice Café which takes place in the cafeteria on the third floor of the Bremen Lagerhaus. A main and voluntary team will support you, for example, to write applications, with requests and official matters, with homework and other everyday matters.

You can access support from volunteers or “buddies” at the Advice Café if you need a personal chaperone to accompany you to official appointments, to the Jobcentre, to advisory centres and shelters, cultural and leisure activities, while you look for somewhere to live etc. Young people with and without refugee backgrounds are involved in the “buddies” programme. As “buddies”, they can advocate for you at important appointments and make sure that your concerns and questions are properly heard and your rights safeguarded.

You will find the flyer for the Advice Café at this link.
