In Bremen, there are language courses for asylum seekers and refugees that the city’s social department organises and runs in cooperation with the Bremer Volkshochschule (Adult Education Centre).

The aim of these courses is for refugees who are new to Bremen to gain initial German language skills.

There are many different courses, depending on the needs of the participants. To find the right course for you, you can take a placement test and have an initial interview with the counsellors.
