Use your experience from your country of origin and qualify as an educational specialist or systemic assistant at elementary schools in just 5 months.
If you have already completed a degree in social work or education in your country of origin, you can gain further qualifications to work in primary schools. The “Ready for Primary School” qualification prepares you specifically for this task.
During the qualification, you will have classes 3 to 4 days a week. In addition, you will complete a 5-week internship at a primary school. This will allow you to learn about educational work in Germany and gain practical experience.
You can participate in the “Ready for Primary School” qualification if
if you have studied (social) pedagogy, teaching, psychology, music education, or a comparable subject abroad
if you have a good knowledge of German (comparable to level B2 according to the CEFR)
Contents of the qualification:
Module 1: Introduction to the field of work in primary schools – roles and tasks
Module 2: Pedagogical basics – understanding and appropriately supporting children aged 6 to 10
Module 3: Building and deepening methodological skills – designing pedagogical work
Module 4: Recognizing mental and social-emotional impairments and responding appropriately
Module 5: Cooperation, communication, and conflicts – consciously shaping interactions
