Kinderbauernhof Tenever (Tenever Children’s Farm)

Experience nature between high-rise buildings in a green, lively and colourful oasis – that’s the Kinderbauernhof Tenever. It is the meeting place for people of all ages with its range of opportunities to get to know nature and some of the animals, if desired as part of an educational programme. Many animals live on the farm, including sheep, Thuringian forest goats, minature African goats and a dozen hens. There are also rabits, teacup pigs and geese on the farm. A large garden provides space to grow vegetables, herbs and flowers. Families and mothers with children can play and socialise on the large farm grounds during opening hours, even across national borders.

The offer is free of charge and aimed at all children and young people from and around Bremen, as well as their families.

• Open offers: The Tenever Children’s Farm is open to everyone during opening hours. On the grounds there is a large sandpit, a nest swing, a large and high tunnel slide, but also a foosball table, table tennis tables and plenty of space to run and play. If you want, you can borrow play equipment such as a bobby car and shovels for the sandpit.
• Accompanied programmes: The accompanied activities at Binderbauernhof Tenever usually focus on the farm animals. Animal tours are offered by appointment or sometimes spontaneously. There is no need to register for feeding the mini pigs experience at 4:45 pm. The Kinderbauernhof Tenever always has an open ear for school classes and day-care centres and can also carry out smaller projects flexibly. An example would be a day at the campfire or a learning unit on a special animal species that is currently on the curriculum.
• Family Sundays: The Tenever children’s farm also opens its doors once a month on Sundays during the warmer months for a colourful family Sunday. The aim is to offer children and their families from the surrounding area a varied excursion destination. There are animal tours to get to know the sheep, goats, pigs, geese and rabbits better, as well as campfires with stick bread and sometimes tractor rides or cabaret. Coffee, drinks and cake will be provided by the Mütterzentrum Osterholz Tenever e.V.
