The organization Haus für unsere Freundschaft e.V. provides a wide-ranging program for children and teens from the district of Hemelingen and the surrounding area, which includes:
- “Open door” hours for kids & teens
- Internet Café for teens
- Homework help
- Special highlights: cost-free excursions to amusement parks & movie theaters as well as participation in sports fests
- Projects, such as “Kunst und Musik” (Art and Music), group cooking & meals, movie afternoons
- In addition, the space provided acts as an outlet for kids (e.g. allowing them to have conversations about everyday/personal problems)
