Once you have registered at the “Bremer Tafel”, you can get cheap groceries for a small donation. Registration for new customers can take place during the provided office opening times and for this you need to bring your official letter from the Asylum Seekers’ Benefit Act (Asylbewerberleistungsgesetz). First you’ll receive a provisional ID card and then after the fourth visit you will be given a permanent ID card. You can then come to collect groceries once a week at the “Tafel”. The “Tafel” asks for understanding that refugees from homes with full catering cannot be accommodated for.
Current issue and office times can be found on the provider’s website.
