The “Bremer Rat für Integration”, established in 2005 is a voluntary organisation. The committee has 30 members and the same number of deputies, who were elected for this task by numerous institutions and groups. It sees itself as a source of inspiration and direction for policy in the state of Bremen and aims to critically scrutinise it. The Bremen Council for Integration is supported by the Senator for Social Affairs.
