Having arrived in Bremen you probably would like to enroll your children asap for school. There is a link on the procedure available only in German. However, you can watch this video instead.
If you are in a residential home/ Wohnheim, staff usually announces your children to the school authorities. In case you don`t hear anything in this regards after being three months in place, parents, custodians or translator can enroll children, too.
Don’t worry in case your children not yet speak perfect German. There are preliminary courses in all districts.
The school contacts you with an appointment for an entrance examination for your children. Accordingly, they receive a place in the preliminary courses and participate in regular class on an hourly basis.
