Specialist language training for teachers from abroad undergoing the recognition process

For a successful recognition process: As a teacher from abroad, the PBW provides you with specialist language support and training. Are you a teacher and currently enrolled in a practical adaptation course at the Landesinstitut für Schule (LIS) Bremen? At the PBW, you will be provided with technical language training to ensure that your qualifications are recognised.

Prerequisites:

  • You are an international teacher in the process of having your qualifications recognised
  • You are completing or will soon complete the practical adaptation course at the Landesinstitut für Schule (LIS) Bremen to obtain a teaching qualification or teaching qualification in the state of Bremen

Content:

The qualification supports teachers on the practical adaptation course at the Landesinstitut für Schule (LIS) Bremen to understand and write specialist vocational texts and mark worksheets, blackboard pictures and classroom language. We can also take into consideration subject-specific features, pronunciation training, strategy training and job applications at school after the adaptation course, tailored to the needs and goals of individuals, to support teaching staff to meet adaptation requirements or to prevent drop-outs.
