Integration courses for people with low literacy skills

The Paritätisches Bildungswerk helps you learn the German language. Understanding, speaking, reading, writing—they accompany you every step of the way!

The integration course for people with low literacy skills is aimed at immigrants who already have learning experience and are literate in the Latin alphabet, but are unaccustomed to writing and learning.

The course consists of a language course and an orientation course. The language course initially focuses on consolidating reading and writing skills. In addition, basic digital skills are promoted. Topics from your life are discussed, the values of our society are explored, and you are given important tips and advice for your everyday life.

Some courses also offer childcare.

You can participate in an integration course for people with low literacy skills……

if the immigration office (Ausländerbehörde) has required you to participate in the integration course….
if you have been authorized to participate in the integration course by the agency responsible for unemployment benefits….
if you have been authorized by the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees.
… if you are not entitled to an integration course and are willing to pay the full cost yourself.

The Paritätisches Bildungswerk (Parity Education Center) can advise you in several languages and also help you apply for admission to the integration course.
