Help and support – the Independent Police Commissioner for Bremen

Help and support – the Independent Police Commissioner for Sermin Riedel is the Independent Police Commissioner for the state of Bremen. She is also the Independent Commissioner for the Bremen Fire Department.

She helps anyone who has questions, concerns, or complaints about the police or fire department. This applies to all citizens, but also to police and fire department employees.

Her tasks include:

She ensures that justified complaints are taken seriously and problems are solved.
She takes a close look when there are indications of mistakes or unfair behavior. If she identifies such issues, she makes recommendations on how they can be improved.

All concerns are treated confidentially upon request. The police commissioner works independently and neutrally.
