Advanced training in neurodiversity in youth welfare – PBW

Accompany young people’s individual development paths with empathy, recognize resources, and actively shape participation.

This practice-oriented seminar focuses on the topic of neurodiversity in educational work with children and young people and their family systems.
Using various case studies, we will explore specific topics, challenges, perspectives, and potential that we encounter in our work with neurodivergent children and young people. There will be opportunities for personal exchange and work on your own practical examples.

You can participate in the training if you work as an educational professional, newcomer, or career changer in child and youth welfare.

Contents:
Basics, history of the neurodiversity movement, correctly classifying technical terms, ADHD

Getting to know other neurodivergent manifestations and appropriate educational support in everyday professional life

Applying what you have learned to practical case studies, selecting methods in a targeted manner, and supporting children’s individuality in a strength-oriented way
